My first question- What type of skin do you have? Oily? Dry? Is it sensitive?

I have combo skin to more oily skin. Oily t-zone, but pretty much normal everywhere else and I do get some dry patches in between my eyebrows and around my cheeks sometimes. I have the MAC prolongwear and it doesnt break me out but my skin is not sensitive. I don’t have redness or anything either.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere is lovely and stays on beautifully aswell. I use Estee Lauder Double Wear which is a matte finish-Double Wear Light is a nice alternative and a bit more dewy, though still good coverage.

I’ve recently found Estee Lauder Double Wear – LOVE IT! It’s got great coverage, looks natural and lasts. I used to use MAC studio fix religiously but I don’t find it anywhere near as good as the double wear.

I used to have skin that was prone to break outs, it’s combination with dry patches and oily t-zone, the double wear hasn’t caused me to break out.

Ohh good post, I’m a sucker for tying new make up and have been on the foundation searich for a while now!

I used Mac studio fix for years and swore by it but find it doesn’t do much for my skin anymore and didn’t give the look I’m after. (similar to what you are looking for now) I switched to bare minerals as heand good things but I’m not a fan really

I may go and take a look at Estée Lauder double weat as PP’s have menationed.

Another vote for Estee Lauder Double Wear! I’ve used this for years, with the exception of one bottle of MAC studio fix which I wasn’t impressed with.

sadbee1992:  I read this tip on this board, and it was awesome – especially with my oily skin!

I used Smashbox Original Primer (a must!). After that, a do a light dusting of my finishing powder (Ben Nye Powder in Banana – it’s so great). Once that’s on, I’ll go with my liquid foundation – Smashbox 15-hour Wear Foundation. Then finish the rest of my face with a concealer, light bronzer, and again with the finishing powder.

After this, plus the rest of my face and some Urban Decay All-Nighter make=up spray – my make-up lasts. In the past by noon, my make-up would already be melted off.

sadbee1992:  If you are worried about break outs, check out the Clinique lines. They are the only thing that I’ve found that doesn’t make my sensative skin break out.

I also have mild rosasea, so I am a HUGE fan of their redness reduction line.

BeeinBoston:  I love Armani Luminous Silk, too! It has the perfect natural glow. You can tell I’m wearing makeup, but it doesn’t looked caked on.

I have rosacea and I love the it brand redness correcter. I use that and a light sweep of bareminerals and it staus all day. It’s easy on my sensitive skin plus they don’t use animal testing (which is a plus to me!)

mandaluv1119:  Armani just came out with a CC cream and I couldn’t help but purchase it. It’s very glowy and has SPF in it so it’s perfect for day time in the summer months.

MAC Pro Longwear liquid! I’ve been using it for years and I love it!
