Just saw this thread, and it was so helpful since my friend’s twins will be one soon. I had already decided on jackets, but since I got a deal, I was looking for something else. I got a gift card to a shoe store near her home. When you think about it, shoes are one of the most expensive items and the hardest to get hand me downs of, so I think this will be perfect!

Well, my baby’s 1st birthday s coming up and we’re throwing him a party and I don’t expect anyone to bring a gift.  BUT I know people will most likely bring gifts so this is somethng we can always use: Clothes (we didn’t go overboard with clothes for him so he doesn’t have much and he needs bigger sizes now… so I’ll be going shopping for him soon).

As for toys, I love getting kids toys.  I do have 3 older kids and he got some hand me downs.. but I am getting him stuff I never got my other kids.  I got him this:

And we’re getting him these:

my baby isn’t walking yet, but he is pulling to stand and learning to cruise so these are perfec for him.

I also got him a little crayon activity pack, which is a little young for but I know he’ll like it.  And I want to get him this toy as well:

We just went to a one-year-old’s birthday party last weekend & we got him a book, a gift card, & a balloon!  Festive, but still practical 😉
