There’s not much that will actually help you overcome it faster, just things to make you feel a bit better while dealing with it.  I love neocitran as it allows me to sleep.

What about getting a prescription for an anti-viral?

Theraflu, emergen-c, and chicken soup. Theres a trason chicken soup is a sick food, they say it can help with inflamation. Also if you have sore throats fresh pineapple works wonders

elderberry, that stuff is amazing. Also, a mix of honey and cinnamon are natural things that boost the immune system. Also, vitamin C and plenty of fluids and rest 🙂

@NowMrsS:  I found that putting tea tree oil in my difuser always helps out. You can put a few drops in a candle or in something for essential oils. I use the “scent bug” from bath and body works and you can get tea tree oil at any natural/health food store. I have gotten mine at Whole Foods in the past.

Good luck!

I work at a hospital and this is an awful flu year.  A nasty H1N1 strain.  Unfortunately staying hydrated and comfortable is about all you can do.
