Your wedding sounds fun! And it is not like you are giving up any of the traditional things, you are just putting your money to better use!

Most parents are traditional, and that’s probably the only reason why they’re throwing a fit–it’s all about keeping customs intact.

However, in a wedding, what’s important is the union between you and your loved one. Sure, you will be ditching some things, but you will also be replacing them with things that both of you have agreed upon and really enjoy. In the end, what will make your wedding memorable is the happiness and comfort you and your guests felt during the wedding day.

That said, go for things that you firmly believe will be fun for you and your guests, even if that means ditching some traditional items here and there.
