Personally I really like them! We are also having a very low budget wedding and I read a post the other day that I really liked and I think we will do…instead of having centrepieces on the tables with flowers or whatever…some pretty bowls filled with cool candy and cute little bags at each table so that people can get a bag of candy ‘to go’….that way you have colourful decoration on the tables and it’s also the favours for the guests…

Do you have a “theme” for the wedding, that can narrow it down.

I tend to not like “one offs” I have my own style and full sets of things at home. I dont have a desire to clutter up my house/cabinets with partial sets of things.

I do like them, but worry that others wont.  Bonus for me: if some people don’t want theirs I could end up with a set of four!

To be completely honest I think a lot of these will be left behind. I wouldn’t want them. I really suggest doing a neutral candy favor.

i like the idea of having a long lasting favour but i think these might not work so well as a solo item, i think if they were a set it might be better but obviously that has cost implications and stuff.

I love the idea of a coaster! I’m really not a fan of the heart shape, though. Are there other similarly priced options in a circle or square?

They are very cute. I like the way they look, but not convinced on functionality.

Most people I don’t know never use coasters, and when you have a coaster having a set is important. I don’t think it’s functional at all for those reasons, but it’s cute.

@SarahL13:  Oh, the trail mix bar is a fun idea! I love sweets, but try to avoid them, so this is an edible favor that could still appeal to people trying to avoid complete sugar overload 🙂 How creative!

I’ve been to a couple weddings recently that had coasters as a favor, and I liked them, but I think the problem with yours is the fact that they are heart-shaped; most people don’t have “heart” decor in their living room. I think if you’re going to do coasters, you should do something more neutral, like clear/frosted squares with some neutral pattern/design.
