I recently lost my e-ring :(, and I am in the process of replacing it. I am working with insurance for the replacement, so it has to come from a jeweler (as opposed to an individual, ebay, etc.). It can be an online or physical jewelry store (I am located in Alabama and don’t mind to travel, but I prefer one in the South). I have heard one can often find great deals on antique/estate pieces, but I am having a lot of trouble finding a jeweler with a sizeable collection. I’ve always loved the look of antique rings, and, after reading about the potential to find a great deal, I decided I would rather have a real antique as opposed to a reproduction. I know there are two outlooks on antique/estate jewelry. One is that it is worth much more because it is antique, and the other is that it is worth less because it is used. I would much prefer a jeweler whose prices are below the retail of a new piece. I know there are many bees who have antique rings, so I’m hoping you can share your expertise.
I appreciate any help you can give me!
