You could do your first look in Central Park on Bow Bridge, by the arches in Bethesda Terrace/Fountain area, or Cherry Hill.  All of these locations are just a few minutes walk from the Boathouse.

If you want a more New York City type vibe (cabs and tall buildings and such), there’s the fountains by the Time Warner Buildings down on the south west end of the park.  It’s by the big globe sculpture too.

Hi Hilsy,

I love the Central Park Boathouse – lucky you!

Honeycrisp has the best suggestions with Bow Bridge or the Time Warner Center.  I think an off-the-beaten-path alternative is the rambles in Central Park – there will probably not be anyone else in the background, and if the sun is bright, walking through the woods in a white dress could have gorgeous & intimate photos!
