So, some of you may have seen I’ve posted recently about a second miscarriage. Well it sucked. Anyway, I have been waiting (with fear) to hear back about the tests they ran the day of the miscarriage.
Got the call- I have something called a MTHFR gene mutation and if affects how much folic acid I use or something along those lines. Anyway, all I have to do is take a high dose prescription of Folic acid!
We got the go ahead to start trying after my next period, which will be the first since the miscarriage (seems soon), but I cannot even express my relief!
Has anyone had this MTHFR thing? Its a mutation or an abnormal gene or something.

I think that is such good news. I think so many women are never able to determine a reason and thus feel kind of helpless after a miscarriage. Good Luck!
