@Paiger8:  I got married on the beach in Destin, Florida and the beaches there are gorgeous.

One thing to consider about August though….hurricane season.  And Florida in December might be a lil too cold BUT you would get REALLY great off season rates.  Good luck in your search!

@Paiger8:  I’m getting married this June at the Grand Plaza Beach Hotel on St. Pete Beach. Such a pretty place! here’s a pic from my last visit . You should check them out! The staff is amazing and they are very reasonably priced especially is you get married on a weekday!!

The San Diego area would be nice.  Hotel Del Coronado, Bahia Hotel, Catamaran Resort, The Hilton on East Mission Bay Drive, L’Auberge in Del Mar, California.

Santa Barbara is another option.

The Cliffs Resort in Pismo Beach, CA.

I’m getting married in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. We wanted to allow friends & family to have the option to drive (to save on travel prices)  or fly so we picked the Florida panhandle.

Destin, Florida-IMO, the white sand beaches are second to none in the US.

Avila Beach. It is a small beach community right on the central coast of California. It is a beautiful spot and is surrounded by vineyards, there are golfs resorts and just up the road is big sur a major travel/sight seeing hot spot. Lots to do and it is right inbetween LA and SF.

I was going to get married at Scripps Institute of Oceanography in La Jolla. (wedding was canceled but absolutely loved it!) not sure what your budget is but it is BYO. It is a gorgeous area of San Diego. They do book up quickly but could have availability depending on the time of year. I live about 1.5 hrs away and was able to plan it all (almost all) via Internet. The Best Western is close by there and where we had our room block and the price was ideal (And it’s nice!) I would definitely look into it if you don’t mind doing a lot of the legwork with planning. If you are planning a summer wedding, the hotel prices will probably increase. Good luck and congrats!
