The biggest wedding dress store that I know is in Manassas, VA. The name is Jeanette’s Bridal.

Dont forget you can have straps and cap sleeves added to most gowns!

I forgot that I had a post asking for the stores that had the biggest selection of dresses.  Here are other stores you should check it out:

2. J.P Lawrence Bridal in Gaithersburg, MD: This was the second place my mom and I went that same Friday. LOVED it there. My consultant was Mia, and she was wonderful. They carried an ample line of Maggie dresses (When pulling pictures, this was the designer I seemed to have th most of). I ended up finding my dress here, and it is a Maggie. I am also having my bridesmaids order from here (get a discount because I purchased my gown). They were super friendly and really helpful.

The other two places which I never got to were: Bobbie’s Bridal Botique in Faifax, VA and Rosalin’s Bridal Botique in Fall’s Church. They seemed to have really good reviews as well for the area….can’t tell you what they are actually like as we cancelled the appointments once we found the dress.

I would love to hear some advice too, as I live in the DC/Bethesda area. I’m looking for a similar dress style/price point. I know there is Chevy Chase Bridal (not sure their price range) as well as some swankier (read: $$$) places in Chevy Chase. There is a David’s Bridal somewhere in the Bethesda area, I think.

I got my dress at Betsy Robinson’s in Pikesville, and I love it! One of my MOH’s friends is an event planner in DC, and sends all her brides there.

Bought the 12th dress I tried on, which was NOT strapless- they had a great selection of non-strapless dresses (I didn’t want one, either), and plenty within your price range.

@nycurlybride:  I would highly encourage you to go to VA to Jeanette. I read somewhere that they are the biggest store in all of the DMV area.

I hate, hate, hate my armpits.  I joke that I have two extra boobs under them.  I have no idea why, but I have always had (even at my skinniest) an excessive amount of extra fat there.

I ended up buying a keyhole dress with straps from David’s Bridal.  It keeps the extra girls under control!

Curvaceous Couture in Columbia might have what you’re looking for. They specialize in plus-size bridal gowns, but use companies where you can buy a size 0-32 (Reem Acra, Bonny, Allure, etc). They had a couple of sleeved gowns when I was there in January.
