@Tswife4ever: Rouching tends to be flattering on all body types!

I think dressing with rouching works well for most body types.  I was in my friend’s wedding recently, with 4 other BMs (we all wore the same dress) and were size 0, 8, 12, 18-20, and 24?  Something like that.  And somehow, the dress managed to look good on all of us.

I attached a sort of picture of what it looked like, so you can get kind of a sense.  (we’re not all in the picture, but most of us are.)  I also attached a pic of a very similar dress that we wore, so you can get a better sense of what it looked like.

As a fellow size 24 I can tell you that I wouldnt be comfortable in anything strapless or clingy. I agree with the PP, rouching is flattering on everyone. The wedding dress that I am contemplating has rouching on the torso and its looks great.

I have 7 BMs and they all have different body types and different heights.  My two Maid/Matron of Honor went to try on some dresses and we all agreed chiffon would compliment all body types for material wise.  Good luck!

I am having the exact same problem. I decided to have them all wear infinity dresses so they could tie them any way they felt made them look best. If that doesn’t end up working out I will have to go back to the dress shops.

You want to look for a dress that ruffles fabric around the stomach area so its flattering for large or small women.  We have 7 BMs in our party and had then pick their own dresses (but kept the same color and fabric).  Looks something like this

Now onto some pictures to show the fabric in front like I mentioned.  You may not like any of them, but it does give you an idea of the fabric and what it should be shaped like in the front.  Good luck!

I have the same problem, although I have mostly plus size bridemaids and one skinny sister as a MoH. I like the idea of an empire waist. I think that looks flattering on everyone.

Yep my Bridesmaid or Best Man wore dresses similar to that pink one that njm1313 posted. The empire waist is the way to go!

I have a really big range in my bridesmaids 8, 12, 16, 20, 28. So… I went with with one  I have seen it on all of the girls and it truly looks amazing. The sash is a lifesaver. You can tie it in front, side, or back.
