So I was thinking of getting a good portrait of me, my soon-to-be wife, our daughter, my mom dad and sister at the wedding, and then getting it gallery-wrapped (on canvas)… like this along with a nice thank you note and sending it to my mom and dad for their help in the wedding.
What do you think? Too narcissitic? Or a nice touching momento of thanks? Should I just get them a gift card to a nice restaurant instead?

I don’t think it’s narcissistic to give them a picture of you guys from the wedding to thank them for their help with the wedding. My parents would want one. I think it’s a nice gift.

I think it depends on your parents. My mom has pictures of family all over her house and would love a gift like this. My dad (divorced parents), not so much – it would probably go in a closet.

I think you know your parents best 🙂 I know my mom would love something like that. But my dad (they’re not together) wouldn’t really know what to do or where to put it.

I think it sounds really sweet and not remotely narcissistic 🙂

I don’t think it’s narcissistic at all–in fact, a lot of newlyweds give their parents coffee table books of wedding pictures. Why not do a canvas? :]
