maybe a half up one? If you get your hair done professionally they should be able to get your curls to stay in.

I’m wearing a low, big, soft, side bun.  It’s up and elegant, but with some height on top too.  I’m looking for a hairstyle that will “soften” me if that makes any sense.

I’m doing a half up half down.

Have some friends go with you to the hair salon when you try out different styles. It’s always helpful to me to have another opinion from those who know me best.

I was thinking about growing my hair out for the wedding so I could do some crazy up-do.  I’ve had almost shoulder length hair for a couple years now.  But now I’m leaning towards cutting it shorter.  I used to wear it closer to chin length.  Every time I get it cut short I get soooo many compliments.  I think it frames my face nicely.  So, I think I’m going to do a slightly longer than chin length bob, and probably straighten it and wear some kind of head piece.  Not super fancy, but it’ll be cute and make me feel sexy.

I did 1/2 up 1/2 down.  I have really thick heavy hair, but it held the curls very nicely!

@eholland: Same here.   My hair used to be long (waist length) for years, then around age 30 I cut it into a sleek A-line bob and haven’t looked back ever since.  When I am broke it grows out but never beyond the point of just barely touching my shoulders before I get tired of it and cut it again. I love it a little past the chin, angled (longer in front), and super straight with bangs.

I’ve found as I get older, because I carry a lot of my weight in my face, that having it long makes my face look “long” and emphasises my double chin.  Of course this may be just me.

It will be something like this but a little longer around the face:

I am wearing a veil like this for the ceremony (similar in terms of length and poofiness — mine will have a crystal comb in front):

And a sparkly headband with a side accessory with net and feathers and a brooch for the reception:
