It’s boring. People on my facebook friends list are literally just copying and pasting their complainy statuses in both places.

Im on it. Facebbok has to fall shortly, and Based on the circles, spark, and hangout options I hope this works out.  But then again its quiet and I dont need ABP to block out the bizillion game posts yet. FB is getting too crowded with crap that isnt FB much like Myspace did.

@bakerella: you can get there through the link that @SuperKate: posted, or, at the top of your email there should be a bar with all of the different google “products” (like, calendar, reader, etc.) – to the very left of that bar should be a tab that says “+[yourname]” – click that and it will bring you to google+

I have a few invites from friends in me email but I haven’t done anything with them yet.  I haven’t been very big on FB in a long time so, while I’m sure I’ll eventually get with Google +, I’m not in any rush.

@SuperKate: Thanks! I googled it. Is that weird? Googling a google product?! LOL!

@Lovebird724: Ooh I’ll look for that. I signed up through another email, but it seems to know my Gmail stuff too. I have to be honest, Google sort of freaks me out and part of me is weary of giving them too much of my private info.

I’m not invited yet, so I can’t try it.  🙁  But then only one person I know IRL is using it so far…

I’m on it. It’s okay, I think the concept is better than Facebook but we’ll just have to see how it holds up in practice once they open it up to the public.

I am weary of this since last year when hubs and I were watching a documentary on Google, and they save EVERYTHING you have ever done on Google, that totally freaks me out, but I still Google my heart out on all kinds of things…

Facebook actually has a feature that allows you to create groups, and you can block specific groups from seeing posts, pictures, etc. Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t see how that’s different from the circle concept. Perhaps Facebook hasn’t advertised that feature well enough, but it does work.

Ultimately, I’m not sure that I really want to build a social network from scratch. It’s reminds me of when I made the switch from VHS tapes to DVDs, and that process sucked. I don’t know. I guess I’ve been a little underwhelmed by Google+ so far.

I got an invite this morning. I think it would be interesting if there were more people on it, but that takes time. I guess I will be waiting to see where it goes, but I really like the concept and the way it looks.

I’m liking it already.  It’s Facebook without all the junk.

It seems like there is a natural progression…

Myspace turned into a spam filled pile of junk –> Everyone moves to Facebook

Facebook turns into a pile of apps and spam —> Everyone moves to Google+

Notice that companies are NOT on Google+ right now?  It’s just individuals.  IF they can figure out a way to allow companies on there while keeping them from driving us nuts, I think it’ll be great.

If I start seeing Farmville, trivia questions, and the like on Google+, I’m out of there.
