I love these!  Are they going to cost the normal amount or are they going to be the kind that cost more than face value?  (I hate that!)

Keep your eye on the USPS.com website.  While those aren’t up there yet for purchase, you can usually buy them before their release date.

Those are forever stamps, so they will cost whatever first class postage is at the time you buy them (right now 44 cents) and are good no matter what they raise the rates to.

@amyisnice:I think you’re right, but aren’t there some “designer” stamps that cost more than face value?

Like these?

@Lily of theValley: Yeah, definately. If you order from zazzle you can get stamps with whatever you want on them (even yourself), for a price.  The post office also has some stamps that cost more.  I think they are intended to be used for things that require more postage, but sometimes people use them because they prefer the image.  I am glad these are forevers! ๐Ÿ™‚

The post office told me recently that all stamps are going to be forever stamps from now on.  I haven’t checked up on it but he said it was most cost-effective for printing.

Yeah, Zazzle and a couple other places jack the price of the stamps up to more than face-value.  AND if you buy from a ‘seller’, the seller adds a certain percentage to the cost, so THEY make some $$, too.

I was going to get custom stamps until I decided the price wasn’t worth it.  and I’d be the designer, too!

@abbyful: those are gorgeous!!!  and much prettier than the liberty bells we currently have, lol.

I don’t think there are ANY stamps that match our theme anywhere except at Zazzle (or if I made my own), but I’m not paying an outlandish fee for something that’s gonna be dropped in the trash can. ๐Ÿ˜‰
