It’s ok, it’s a very similar style to the first one, are you sure he wont hate this one as well?

Were you able to get your deposit back from the first one?

I’m not the biggest fan of super mermaid dresses (I feel like I wouldn’t be able to walk or sit in it). But if you love it, that is what is important.

Don’t feel like you have to buy a dress right away either. You have a LOT of time before your wedding.

My wedding is Sept of 2011 and I am ordering my dress in 2 weeks. So you have 1 yr and 2 weeks before you REALLY have to make a decision.

I’d want to see the next collections coming out before making a decision if I had that much time.

I wouldn’t buy a dress until at the MOST a year out, you’ve got a lot of time yet.

I don’t think it is at all like the first dress. I like it alot however I agree with the other ladies that you might want to wait. Since your wedding is so far away you will see like 2 or possibly 3 new bridal collections before your wedding and that usually leads to dress envy and becoming a multiple dress bride.

I agree with Belle. You still have quite a while to buy a dress. If I remember right you were wanting to lose some weight too so maybe if you wait it out a little bit you can be at or close to the weight you want to be at for the wedding and now have to pay so much for alterations. Also new dresses come out all the time. Personally I would wait. I am not trying to be a major jerk that is just my two pennies.

Just throwing it out there that I’m getting married in June 2012 and just bought my dress two weeks ago 😉 I think if you absolutely love it and can’t live without it, go ahead and buy it!! Once I found my dress, I knew that nothing else would compare and I wasn’t even going to look at another picture of a dress (unless I’m reading the Bee or wedding recaps, of course!).. so far so good! Just make sure you are 100% certain!

I know everyone is saying to wait before buying, and I AGREE!!!!!!!!!

I bought mine 11 months out (and it was earlier than expected) and it absolutely KILLED me that I had the dress in my possession for 5 months before I could have my 1st dress fitting (and keep in mind, LOOKING AT IT but NOT WEARING IT)  lolol

It was killer.  So, I would wait until atleast a year as well …. sometimes new styles come out and its worth the wait!

My opinion on the dress?  Its ok …. your first dress was definitely a looker (I happened to have liked it lol)  But since you’re getting a new one, I think there might be one out there that might give you that same feeling as the first one (even without the bling).  Again, IMO

@junebug12: haha, no offense, but you haven’t really had time to have a dress regret. Now if you bought it 2 years ago and your wedding was this coming June, then maybe it would make sense to say “hey I did this and it worked out fine!”.

This is dress looks great on you! I like that we can actually see you in the dress. I’m going to agree with everyone on waiting a bit before buying it especially if you plan on losing weight. It really is a pretty dress and I do like it more than your previous one, heres hoping your Fiance doesn’t see this one before too!

@Belle2Be: I agree with you! Dress regret is awful and if you have that dress for too long you might start regreting it. Lots of girls post things about dress regret and a lot of their stories start with, “I bought my dress way before I had to and I kept looking and now I hate it”.

Just be careful. IMO I don’t love it. It’s just ok. Our opinions though are just that. If you love it then it’s perfect!

I LOVE this dress on you. It’s beautiful, and very classy. Not to be rude, but I don’t think your first dress was very “wedding”. Which is why your Fiance probably didn’t like it. It was very Vegas-Showgirl. And I’m sure you looked HOTT in it. It’s just probably not what your Fiance imagined his wife walking down the aisle looking like. This is much more appropriate and it’ll really let YOU shine through, and not just a bunch of bling 🙂
