Oooh, what a fun headboard!  I’m a big fan of white linens for beds, so I would do all white with some throw pillows that have blue accents and maybe another color you like — maybe yellow?  I love your idea for nightstands and for blinds, I’d do the darker ones, I think it would be a nice contrast against the white.

I love love love that headboard – I love it when people choose something more original like that :-)! I think lighter bamboo shades would work really well, and I love the idea of luxe white linens with interesting throw pillows!

I don’t have any ideas myself…..but I think Mrs. SandDollar would have great ideas. One of her last posts has a link to her blog, that headboard reminded me of her right away! Good luck!

I would go with light gray or blue linens I think.  It looks like there might be some in the headboard…it would be pretty to pull that out a little bit.

Oooh, if things are more off-white them maybe go with some taupe or champagne colored bedding maybe even grey since that will go nicely with the blue, but still add in more pops of color with a couple of throw pillows.  I can’t wait to see it once you pull it all together. 🙂

I would do lighter colour shades, and then paint the wall behind your headboard to really make it pop. It just blends a little now and it’s a really unique piece, so I’d want to give it more contrast from the wall. For your bedding, I’d do a solid colour (white or a lighter tone) and then put a really pretty quilt on it (folded across the foot of the bed), which isn’t usually my style, but I think with the antique/salvage looking headboard it would look great!

@Lees4308: Hi, I’m brand new to the site. I love to decorate and take risks as well. I think that u should do a colored comforter/bedspread. The blue, grey, and champagne are all great suggestions, and use the white as the accent color for the bed. i’d probably to large white pillows as the first layer or just do white sheets; particularly the flat sheet and pillow cases for when the bed is staged. Accent with other colors from the head board with throw pillows as well. I think that since the hb makes such a huge statement that the nightstands can be very subtle. Unless u need the drawers of the ns for storage, what about just some small floating shelves? Just big enough for your lamp and an alarm clock. I’d probably do a darker curtain to help anchor the room a bit. Too airy leaves all focus on the hb. I love the idea of the light colored blinds…maybe some white sheers too

If you painted your wall behind your headboard say a lovely brown (totally for instance), I would go with a similar shade in your curtains to tie it in. Or if you want to keep your existing curtains, I would put a solid band around the edges in the darker shade, and then bulk them up a bit by adding a black out backing maybe, they look a bit flimsy.

I’m totally loving this for you.
