i thought i wanted to go a little different, but it ends up i actually like pretty things. my wedding is on a budget so i’m planning on a major DIY wedding. an to keep the cost of craft supplies to a minimum. i was at my friends house and my little boy came in from her garden with a pine cone in his hand, and something just clicked, well theres around 10 public parks in a 15-20 mile radius of my house, so i think me, fi and my little man have some pine cone collecting to do.
he’s the inspiration board i have come up with …. i’m just trying to decide on an accent colour, to bring it all to life. it’s currently just ivory and silver. any ideas are welcome. i’m thinking either purple, blue, green or maybe a charcol colour… any suggestions are more than welcome
oh and i’m thinking of making pine cone balls for the pew ends, and using baubles in ivory and silvers in the centerpieces somehow maybe a bauble ball lol . i already have 10 tall vases (i got for £2 each)

Seeing as how you are having a winter wedding I think blue would be perfect with the Ivory and silver.

Tiffany blue would be gorgeous!

Lovely! I actually like the idea of incorporating a pallette of darker purples and gray-blues like in your board – and then maybe throwing in accents of a lighter blue and/or silver to brighten it up.

I think you could go a lot of directions with this. I’m just going to throw out some ideas.
I think navy blue would be beautiful with silver and ivory for a winter wedding.
Here’s navy with some paler sky and baby blues added in.
You could go all metallics and do gold, silver and ivory. This board is a little heavy on the gold, but it’s just to give you an idea.
This is the same palette of gold, silver and ivory, with white thrown in.
You could do green.
Or like you suggested, dark purples and plums.
Or, stay dark and do like black, slate, silver and ivory.
Personally, my favorite of the ones I posted it the navy, sky/ice/baby blue, silver and ivory. You said you love light blue, but your BMs can’t wear it. You could dress the girls in the navy color and then still use pale blue. Tiffany blue is more of an aqua-y color, but I don’t think Tiffany would look really good with navy.

Oh, I love the pine cone idea. I wanted a December wedding, but had to give in and move it to October. There are so many ways you could go with this as the girls have posted. Have fun! I bet it’s going to be gorgeous!
