merrymargaret :  Go to ringrevealparty.com to see what I mean. But I think that’s a totally different thing to what this bride is doing.

peegee :  lol basically a couple had revealed to their photographer friend that their having their honeymoon in iceland. He ended up going there 3 months before their wedding. The bee was very upset saying he has FOMO and has to do everything first and do it bigger and better. Many bees believe she had made an additional thread and didn’t get the answers she was seeking so made another. It was copied and pasted to the thread and then was magically deleted right after. Many bees felt like it was too similar not to be the same person.

OP, this is nuts. I swear I was born in the wrong time. Smh ๐Ÿ˜ฃ๐Ÿ˜’

No. NOOOO!!! I’m still trying to find these parties on Google. I typed in “engagement ring reveal party” and stumbled across this public Facebook event from last year.

This can hold us over until this absurd “look at me look at me” trend takes off.

I was nervous to even post a picture of my ring online because I didn’t want to brag! I cannot even fathom the depths of egomania that could lead to a whole ring party. Please say this is just a new way of phrasing engagement party!!

RobbieAndJuliahaha :  Ok so first let me say I am very very very dubious this is the case, buuuuut is it at all possible that this is a cultural thing?

So for instance I am currently contemplating throwing a 100-day celebration for my baby.  Because in my culture (Chinese), a baby’s 100th day is actually a widely celebrated milestone, stemming from the sad fact that infant mortality used to be quite high especially during the first couple of months of life. Part of the reason I am hesitating is because I live in the states, and my fear is that some people will assume this is also a made-up thing like “ring-reveal party”.

I wonder where they’re going to find tiny little balloons to put in the ring box…

Congratulations, it’s got a halo!!
