Still laughing at “what in the seriousness of fucks.”

I think you should go. I’m sure you’ll get invited to hundreds more parties to celebrate valid achievements and milestones, but a party this “fuck it. why the hell not?” could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Go pretend to care, eat their cake and report back. laughing

Now I’ve heard of everything.

I thought gender reveal parties were on the lame side but this takes the cake (pun intended).  What is the couple going to do – put the ring inside a cake and pull it out?

This is seriously weird.  And not a thing.

OP please come back and confirm that she is literally revealing her new e-ring. 😂 I have no words! Also I agree with a PP that I don’t mind gender reveals, but I think you do that OR a baby shower.

This is the part where you tell us it’s the bride who didn’t pay for the cake a bee made her and then demanded another gift.

oh wow! I’ve just heard about how engagement parties are a thing now there’s also ring reveal parties? You learn something new everyday!

Could it be just an excuse to party? I am really fascinated how people come up with with different ways to name their gatherings/parties.

aussiemum1248 :  is it a ring in a bath bomb? Is that what this party is? I’m SOOOOO confused. Also, the invitation and this website need to be more specific because no one understands what this is.

beckybee787 :  As far as I can tell, the “ring reveal party” or “ring bomb party” I (and presumably you) found on Google are “virtual” parties on Facebook, where everyone buys something and watches it get opened on video, then gets their prizes sent out. Besides sounding really scammy, how do you invite friends to that? Especially not close friends like work colleagues of your mother? I’m just confused.

ETA: from https://www.ringbombparty.com/pages/faq “The Original Facebook LIVE Ring Reveal party!”

<div>CAN I HAVE MY RING BOMB SHIPPED & NOT REVEALED LIVE?
No. Currently we only do LIVE Facebook Ring Reveal parties online! The purpose of “Ring Bomb Party” is specifically that! We do exciting live parties so everyone gets to join in and watch as we reveal your ring! We promise… it’s tons of fun and rather addicting to watch! </div>
<div>WILL MY RING BE MAILED TO ME?
Yes! After your LIVE Ring Reveal party, we mail out your gorgeous ring the next business day at no additional charge! </div>
<div> </div>
<div>ETA 2: So I think OP’s situation is NOT this, and really is the equivalent of a gender reveal party. Bleah.</div>
