Hey girls, I got engaged 2 months ago – finally posting about it. He proposed on our 9 year anniversary and we are planning to get married on our 10 year anniversary. He chose the ring himself and I love it! Its a white and yellow gold diamond halo, not too high and no bits to get hooked on ๐ He got it from a local independent jeweler and we just got it valued and it is worth more than he paid which is awesome !
So.. how do you start planning a wedding? Where do you start? So lost so far.. any advice would be awesome.
Show me your rings please!

Congratulations. I am recently engaged and we picked the date and venue and photographer and that is it for a very long time. Needed to get those things locked down pretty quick. We are getting married Spring 2019. I also happened to get my dress but only because it was in a sample sale. I could have waited.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! First set your budget….so important, once that is set you can decide what you will spend on each thing, book your venue, theme and colors….all the rest will fall into place from there, enjoy every second…..time will fly as will the big day….

A 10 year anniversary wedding sounds beautiful!! Congratulations Bee, you have a lot of dedication :).
Hmm, where to start…
1) Decide Size, Location and Type of wedding (large wedding? small intimate wedding? Ethnic wedding? Hometown? Destination? Current city? Make a super rough guest list.)
2). Decide a date or month and figure out how flexible you want to be on it.
3) Start looking at venues.
Once you have a date and venue fixed (and maybe photographer), you can relax for a while ๐

I love your ring! It’s so nice that its so low profile ๐ As far as wedding planning goes, start with the big things like budget date and location and work your way down to centerpieces and cutlery lol. And go out and buy yourself a two inch binder, youll fill the whole thing !

fluffygunk : congratulations. Your ring is beautiful! I love the way the stones are set and its so cool that it’ super lower set yet has that little space so you’l be able to get a wedding band to sit flush.
