(Closed) Got first gift prior to invites being mailed – do I include a Thank you?

Send the thank you seperately – otherwise you may look like you’re just trying to save on postage.

From reading your note it appears that you have not received the gift yet. Either way, send the thank you card separately. If you receive the gift prior to the wedding it would be nice if you sent the Thank You card prior to the wedding but as long as you send one it is OK.

Does your registry tell you who purchased the gift?   Did you receive the gift yet?  I would at the least wait until you receive the gift.  THen send a seperate thank you, apart from the invitation.  Besides puttinga thank you in with the invitation might screw up the postage.  That could cause more problems than you want.

I would not send a Thank You with the invite. Send it separately and within one to two weeks of receiving the item (don’t wait to send all TY’s after the wedding).
