@Cassiopeia: I’m also doing milk glass centerpieces and decor! I’m a big vintage fan and have picked up milk glass pieces while thrifting for YEARS. My family has quite the collection lol. But for the wedding, I’m looking to buy unnamed milk glass. I am not putting out any pieces from my own collection that I truly love, because I’m afraid people might take them. Not because my guests are thiefs, but because it seems to be commonplace that people get to take centerpieces.
I am currently stalking Goodwill and flea markets, and I’ll be all over tag sales and church fairs when they start up! I have price points in my head for each piece that I’m following pretty strictly.
I’m a sucker for hobnail milk glass, I have some Fenton pieces in my own collection that I love, but if it’s hobnail, it’ll probably be at my wedding! There are some patterns I don’t like very much so I’m skipping any of those I come across.
I haven’t done a mock up of the centerpieces yet because I don’t have the other things I want to go with the milk glass, but I’ve been scoping out pinterest for different ideas. Nothing I can find in pictures is 100% what I want to do, though. Here are some pictures that are kind of along the lines of what I’m thinking, because who doesn’t like pictures?? lol
So in the pic above, I like the use of bud vases and the larger vase. I want a variety of heights, but none to be taller than the tallest vase there.
This goes along with the variety of heights thing. I think both of these pieces are adorable!
I wouldn’t even mind using a pitcher like the one here!
I plan to use white and blue flowers. Blue hydrangeas in the wider mouthed vases/chalices. Then smaller flowers in the smaller vases, honestly, whatever is in season and cheapest. Flowers are a low priority for me, so it’s blue hydrangeas and whatever is cheapest for other white/blue flowers.
I’d also love to see other bees milk glass centerpieces! Inspiration pics, actual pics, mock up pics, anything!!
