- Wedding: November 2013
Here is my e-ring:
I love it to death (0.3ct solitaire in 18k white gold) and it has not come off my finger since December 2006… but we didn’t think ahead. We’ve set our date for November and our budget is practically non-existant, so finding a ring to match or getting one made has been inpossible. The band is flat against my finger, so everything I tried on sits too high and rubs against the basket. The only ring that sat against it was 9k, which would wear away over time. Le sigh.
Fiance said it has served me well, and said we should start looking for a set. For the life of me I couldn’t find a solitaire e-ring without sidestones in a set, and to get separate rings in my dream style, I was looking at about $7k. Yeah, that’s the max figure we’re looking at for wedding AND honeymoon…
Anyway, I found a nice set, it was advertised for half price with the sale finishing in 3 days… and we got it.
So as of November 2nd, this is what I’ll be rocking:
My new set is 1 carat TDW set in 18k white gold. The valuation paperwork will arrive in about 3 weeks, but going off my receipt, the diamonds are K/L colour (next to my original e-ring they’re noticably whiter) and I2 clarity. Not the biggest, whitest or sparkliest, but they’re beautful, and they’re mine.
Also want to add that I always saw threads on here with bees going “ahhhh, I keep trying it on, I’m obsessed!” and I would roll my eyes and click away. Erm, yeah. I’m one of those bees now. Fiance told me I shouldn’t be wearing them and to put them away… so I grunted and stuck my tongue out… real classy!
