Mine is being stored at the store I purchased it from, so I’m not sure what to suggest. Maybe you could ask a local bridal shop if they’d be willing to store it for you properly for a fee and then steam it for you when it’s time to pick it up?

Mine has been hanging in my mom’s closet in a garment bag for 6 months with no problem. I’m sure it will be fine!

I would probably try to hang it up instead of having it under the bed.  It might get moist under there and cause problems.  I had mine in the closet in a cotton bag under a sheet for a year and it was fine.

Mine’s just been hanging up in a closet at my parent’s house with a garment bag (it’s been there for about 10 months now!) and it’s doing just fine!

i stored mine in the garment bag it came with and stuck it in my closet.  then i pulled it out every month or two to make sure it still fit, haha.

When I bought my sample at Kleinfeld the lady told me not to store it in the plastic bag they sent it in because it could cause the jewels on it to tarnish or something like that, she said “just drape a white bedsheet over it” as if a sheet would cover my dress!  So I made a bag out of a flat and fitted sheet with safety pins.  It has been in it for the last year at this point and still looks perfect! Only 3 weeks til I finally get to wear it!  Laughing

The most important thing is don’t look at any other dresses 😀

@Ninjagirl – i got my dress about 10 months before the wedding too and it was fine!  It never occurred to me to have it cleaned, it didn’t need it since it had never been worn.  LOL you’re worried about yellowing??  that takes years!  Mine just hung in it’s garment bag in my closet, no problems.
