I was so nervous, like any bride, that not having seen or been in my dress for 7 months I would either not love it anymore or not fit in it anymore. When I first put it on, I didn’t really realize that a corset was built into the bodice because obviously they had my clipped into the dress so it wasn’t as tight at it would be when it fit. Well, let me tell you, I almost had a serious panick attack when she did up the corset (which felt like it would bust open because I wasn’t used to the tightness) and I could’t take a deep breath right away. I let it pass and once I started walking around, it got better. I’ll just wear it once in a while for about 20 minutes or so until I go to fittings to get the corset to loosen just a tad to my body.
Any other brides have any advice on getting used to a corset? I don’t need the dress let out, I just need to get used to the tightness is all. I could take a deep breath after a few minutes and I’m sure throughout the night my dress will loosen up on my big day.
Here it is!
We need to practice fanning out the train, but they really didn’t have a lot of space to work with. I’m also thinking (hoping) I can get an over-bustle once we see a seamstress.
