Congratulations!! Fiance totally shocked me by actually getting me the one I wanted. He took me to look at rings about a month ago and since then whenever I’d ask he would tell me it was too expensive or he wasn’t getting it because I wouldn’t be surprised. I’m a total control freak too, but the funny thing is during the proposal this past Friday I didn’t even look at the ring.

Gorgeous ring and congratulations!!

Fiance did the opposite…I told him what I wanted and he got it down to a T! I’m glad you ended up loving your ring!

I did the same thing! I told my husband I wanted a solitaire, I told him to choose the shape and metal, but I just KNEW a solitaire was it. I’m a total surprise ruiner and bugged him and bugged him to tell me what shape he liked best and such. I annoyed the piss out of him and he told me so!

Anywaysss, he ended up getting me a round brilliant cut with a baguette halo and pave band… pretty much the exact OPPOSITE of what I’d told him, and I love it! He even asked after our wedding when I wanted my e-ring and band soldered together if I wanted to change or upgrade to a solitaire and I almost cried thinking about it! He knows me so well and it sounds like your Fiance does you too! I’m glad it worked out for you and congratulations it is beautiful!!

Beautiful ring and story! My Fiance also went with something different. I always thought I wanted a solitaire with a plain band and instead he bought me a gorgeous 3 stone that I absolutely adore. Sometimes men “just know” ๐Ÿ™‚
