Here is my white sapphire asscher cut center stone engagement ring. The platinum is metal and as much as I wanted the mellees to also be white sapphires, the jeweler that I was working with aren’t able to work with such small stones that weren’t diamonds. The mellees are diamonds, I believe there’s 32 pieces of them on the halo. The first picture is indoors with no direct sun or light. And in case you’re wordering, my center stone is an IF clarity and D in color. This is a 4.5 size ring. The next one (below) is with sun exposure. And I know I need a manicure. This last one is a closer look with some sun exposure. Please share your engagement ring as well. I don’t care the design, metal, style or stone =)

@MsCarabiner: Thanks and yours is oh so beautiful! It’s actually an asscher cut, it just looks squarish because of the prongs on the stone.

Thank you! I had the ring picked out; he previously confessed that he was going to buy a Canadian solitaire diamond ring from Paris Jewellers during Christmas 2010 promotion, which came with a trip for two to Mexico! (I was thinking, an all inclusive trip to Mexico? Why didn’t you?!) However, I wouldn’t have opted for solitaire anyway.
So, we went ring shopping to find out my ring size. I told him that my dream ring is Verragio, but we found out that the starting price of $1,500 doesn’t include the centre stone. Being financially tight, we were getting a mortgage set-up in summer 2011. Also, I didn’t want my SO to spend too much on an engagement ring, seeing that he has an heirloom ring from his great-great grandma that fits my finger exactly. He had wanted conflict-free diamonds and would only trust Canadian diamonds. The only thing I was picky about was how the ring looks on petite hands/short fingers. I smile when I look at this ring. The three stones represents: past, present and future for me. We’ve been together for nearly 7 years after all.
