The pic isn’t the greatest, but I got it colored and cut…. I LOVE it. I have been dyeing it since I was 13 and I am almost 40… this is the FIRST time I’ve ever had a professional color! I am amazed at how natural it looks vs. the cheapy brassy blonde I am always sporting.
First thing I did when I came home is try on my veil and my reception headband and it was pretty awesome!

Way cute! Love the cut and color! If I were brave enough that would be the cut I would get. I am way too emotionally attached to my hair though. lol. Very cute!

@tksjewelry: Thanks! I hate that I look soooooooo tired but I am guessing that look will carry through the wedding date! 🙁
@SamanthaSadlier: Thanks. 🙂 I have been there, I know. My hair was always long, since I was a child. I always kept it around brastrap-length. Then from my mid twenties to around age 30 I wore it even longer, almost to the small of my back (elbow length) and it was purple! lol! And blonde, and red But I felt like I always had it in a ponytail, and it was soooo hot, and I got sick of it always sticking to me and clogging up the shower drain and took a chance and cut it very similar to what I just showed y’all in the photos.
I have not let it get past my shoulders since and I can’t stand when it gets long! It drives me nuts. So I am glad and have been so happy with it since I started cutting it shorter. Of course my mom thinks it is some “lesbian thing” < rolleyes >.

Very cute 🙂
I can’t beleive that you did this right before your wedding!!!
You are way braver than me :-/

It’s very cute! You should tease the top with a hair straightener and a comb to give it more volume. Is it layered? You could curl the layers inward a little bit with your straightener to get some volume as well. I had a hairsytle very similar to this hence why I know these things. haha.

@noritake22: Only because I trust my stylist. 🙂 She’s the one who first cut it short for me years ago, and I’ve only been to her ever since! So, no worries about communication issues or any of that. And I’ve had very similar cuts over the years so she knows what I want. I was scared about the color, her husband did that (they’re a husband/wife stylist team) but then again it looked soooo bad I figured it couldn’t end up much worse, color wise! I should have taken a “before” pic. I love this cut because I can actually handle styling it myself, with a blowdryer and flat iron, and it’s super simple so I don’t have to stress about getting it done on the wedding day.
@FutureMrsMcDermott: No layers. She was trying to get me to go for layers but I have just enough wave that when I have layers it never looks “sleek”, you know? I don’t have enough wave for it to look wavy.. just messy, lol. I will try teasing it some. I haven’t teased my hair in any way since the late 80’s! lol! And that was in a crazy way.
