I think it looks a lot better, it gives the layers more structure and therefore a better silhouette to the dress overall. I think it did look a bit limp before.

I think the underskirt makes the bottom of the dress look great, but I feel like it is making it tighter around the hips which is leading to more wrinkling. Any chance you can get the petticoat sewn into the bottom or get the hips taken out slightly?

It looks perfect (minus the bit of mid-section bunching)!! You look seriously hot in that dress!

Barbiestylez:  It looks great – I’d also like to know where you got your hoop skirt!  I was going to get just the regular crinoline from the boutique for my mermaid when I pick it up, but it immediately made me hot when I had the whole thing on last time.  A hoop skirt would be so much better.

ETA: Nevermind!  I see we were typing at the same time.  🙂

Yes, it looks so much better! You look fantasitc!

And I feel relieved – I also ordered a petticoat similar to yours (1 hoop mermaid style, but mine has only one layer at the bottom), and I love the look it gave to your dress. Hopefully the petticoat I ordered will let me avoid hemming the skirt.
