At least it definitely shouldn’t rattle. Take it back to the jeweler to fix that and ask about the prongs also?

Neither of these two things seem right. I’d certainly be going back to the jeweller.

The stone should not be loose but I don’t see anything wrong with the prongs. Prongs that are rebuilt by nature won’t look as perfect as prongs that were cast in the right size to begin with.

No, it should not rattle AT all.  I had a setting that I took to my guy as well, with a very large stone.  The jeweler stated that his craftsman would have to cut the prong and add more metals to secure it and fit it properly.  Needless to say I was disgusted because that was more $ in my pocket plus a hack job to an already sketchy chinese mount.  It came out perfect, you couldn’t even tell where he cut to expand.  Also, there was no shaking.  Bring it back.

On the up side? GORGEOUS ring!!!

Your original e-ring is one of my most favorites of the bee!

But no. It should not make noise, rattling or otherwise, and it should not be slanted. I’d definitely take it back to the jeweler and have them fix it. I can’t see the prong issue (I also don’t have my glasses on haha) but if you are unhappy, definitely take it back and have it fixed! I think it’s gorgeous though!

It certainly should not make noise, but that’s exactly what my prongs look like on my solitaire, too. I don’t know if that’s right or wrong, but you’re not the only one. ๐Ÿ™‚

Two beautiful rings you have there!

It should not be rattling, I would take it back to the jeweller and have him fix it asap before the stone falls out/a prong snaps.

Nope, no rattles, that’s not right. I can’t really see anything wrong with the prongs, though I suggest you talk to the jeweller anyhow. Your new ring is gorgeous!

As for your original e-ring, why don’t you just get a plain band to wear with it so that you can change between the two sets? That ring is too pretty!
