After freaking out at how expensive thank you cards were, I scored finding these on clearance at JoAnns for $1.97 for a box of 20 π
I used some ivory cardstock I already had, and cut out a ‘plaque’ style piece using a Fiskars cutter and template (about $12 total) and stamped it with a stamp from AC Moore ($3) and a clearance chalk inkpad from Michaels ($1).
I’m pretty happy with how they came out and it was super, duper easy. For 80 cards, I spent a total of $23.88 and only about an hour total of work π

Thank you! The backs are solid orange and they’re a nice weight… they don’t look too bad and SOOOOO much better than $1 or more per card!

@UpstateCait: π I’m going to have to start up a hobby after the wedding. I’ll miss my biweekly drives to Latham/Saratoga to hit up all the crafty stores, ha!

@thewheelsonthebus: Etsy! I bet you could make a mean profit off of those TY’s (and all your DIY’s) if you sold them on there. People like me, who don’t have a crafty bone in their body, would pay good money for that awesomeness.

@UpstateCait: Last night when I woke Fiance up to tell him I was *finally* done with all my tissue papering… I told him unless someone was paying me, I’d never make another one.
I took a look on Etsy – I can’t believe what some people charge for the flowers all folded and trimmed… the fluffing is the most time consuming part and suckiest only next to cutting wire… so people are paying AND doing the work. Insane!
