We haven’t paid anything since our deposit (only $100) and we got our statement today. We got reminded how amazing of a deal we got.
We only ended up spening about 2/3 of what we had budgeted for it. Food, alcohol, ceremony /venue space and everything. Wow. It feels great!
I feel significantly less bad about a couple recent splurges.
I like these kinds of surprises. Just wanted to celebrate!

Whoo Hoo. That’s awesome. We had to pay 90% of our projected bill 3 days prior to the wedding and then they’d invoice the rest plus if anybody ate/drank more than we estimated or extra guests showed up after the fact. I got the email a few days later and closed my eyes to open because I thought for sure it was going to be painful but actually they owed US $400!

@SapphireSun: That’s awesome! I like it when things work out that way.

Awesome! We’re going to be spending a thousand less than we expected because we’re under our venue’s guest minimum! We’re spending a couple hundred on cigars for a cigar bar, then taking the rest on our honeymoon! 🙂

That is the most amazing surprise! I was worried when I clicked on this thread, like it was way more than you remembered/had budgeted. Congrats on getting such an amazing deal!
We also got a fantastic price on our ceremony venue. They could have charged us so much more (like thousands of dollars more), and we feel so lucky that they didn’t!

Awesome news! I think we will do a toonie bar so I have no idea what that bill will look like when it’s all said and done. Hopefully like yours!
