I’ve hit the OMG THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING phase. Our pastor, who we’ve been doing a few premartial sessions with, sent us over our ceremony options/outline yesterday and we started to go through it. I was actually surprised, Fiance and I have agreed on a lot of it and discussed why we liked certain parts. Our wedding is under the 11 month mark and we’re ahead of the game. Did anyone else’s pastor give them options? Was it fun to go through it and craft your ceremony?

We didn’t get married by a pastor, just an Officiant, but she allowed us to basically write our ceremony which great. She gave us an outline of what she normally does, but then advised that we could add things in here and there, if we wanted. So, it really was what we wanted to do and personalized for us.

Same here, our officiant provided ceremony samples and allowed us to mix/match and add to fully customize it with his direction/feedback. I wouldn’t say it’s a fun process, but it does make everything feel so real. We’ve gotten emotional as my Fiance and I have gone through the whole ceremony template we’ve just about finalized.

Ours gave us an outline too, i think its the same one he gives to all his couples. At first i freaked out because it was NOTHING like i wanted in a ceremony. No offense to Corinthans, but that verse just isn’t us. We acutally have an inside joke about it. Thankfully though he let us change the reading, and a couple other little things. It still seems LONG to me, with alot of weird vows (vows, call to intention, ceremony of rings). We also have to kneel for him to pray over us. Not a big fan, since im terrified im goign to tip when im trying to get up and crash into his crotch. No joke, a fear i have.
