What don’t you like about them?

The pics aren’t bad, but I do agree that there isn’t really a wow factor. The lighting is a little dark, and I get what you mean about the angles. The pics of you and your Darling Husband right after the ceremony on the grass are some weird angles. I’m no photography expert though. Definitely talk to him and see if you can work out a solution. I haven’t dealt with photographers to this extent, so I can’t offer you big advice.

Sidenote: you looked gorgeous though! I love the color of your bouquet.

I think the outside ones are gorgeous. I think that he just did not do anything artistic to add to them or edit at all.

But- there are def. some beautiful ones!

Well, I can say that you look beautiful and happy in these photos.  But I agree with you, that these are not professional caliber photos.  The lighting, angles and composition is a bit off.  However there are a few really lovely shots and like I said, the happiness is very apperant.

I don’t think they are bad, but I do agree not really a wow factor. I feel the same way about my pics, I love them, but I see some pics on here and am jealous. It rained on our wedding day, so my outdoor pics didn’t happen, so a lot of the pics I was hoping to get I didn’t, but I do love the pics that I did get

Oh man yea.. those pics are pretty bad. They look like they could have been guest pictures… not what I would expect from a pro photog. The crappy effects, the quality, the angles, the lack of creativity. Why did you book this photog to begin with? Did you like his other work?

Maybe because of the fact he took 600 pictures, most are generic-just there to capture not to create something. What do his samples look like when you researched the photog? Perhaps you thought all photogs shoot the same way or uniquely like the WoW type?

I don’t think they look that bad…  But they aren’t my favorite style of photography, but that’s just me.

I agree with PPs. If you’re willing to tell us, what did you pay? And could you link to other examples of the photog’s work? Because that can make a huge difference- if these are significantly difference from his other work, then I would say something.

🙁 i’m really sorry they didn’t turn out well, unfortunately i agree with PP that they look like guest pics. there’s not much you can do about a lot of the angles, but he SHOULD go through and process the photos to straighten them, fix the exposure, etc. you were a gorgeous bride and not even a bad photog can change that!

If you have the finances, maybe you could do a “day after” session with another photographer so you and your Darling Husband can have some nicer photos of the two of you.
