Personally, I do not think it is tacky at all! In fact, if I was at a wedding with burgers, I would be THRILLED because, honestly, one can only eat so many grilled chicken breasts with a starch and a veggie.

I know there are people who might pop up and say, “It isn’t proper for an occasion such as a wedding…” but I am of the mind that a wedding is a celebration. A celebration for two people who are beginning a life together. The most special weddings I have been to reflect the personalities of the couple getting married.

You know your guests, you know your atmosphere, and more importantly you know YOU. If this is what seems awesome to you, then DO it. I’m sure your guests will remember this years from now and say, “Do you remember trixiesrockets wedding and how fun it was? Those burgers were amazing!”

Sounds amazing!! My only question is: do the guests have to order one at a time? Would it be a long wait?

If my wedding venue had allowed this I would have TOTALLY done this!!! your guests will thank you cuz wedding food 99% of the time sucks even at 300 dollar a plate hotels its still not on par w a nice gourmet burger and fries imo haha

Love it depending on how many people are at the wedding?  If I’m one of the last guests to order will I be standing in line at the food truck for 30-45 minutes?  How fast do the burgers cook/get served?  As long as you’ve got the timing under control so guests don’t spend their whole evening standing in line I think its a great idea.

Will they be serving veggie burgers, too? If you have any vegetarian guests, that is!

Can I come? I’ll make sure my calendar is clear for June… Seriously though, sounds amazing!

@crayfish:  I think she mentioned there would be vegan burgers available.

I desperately want an amazing burger like that now.  It might not be the more formal option, but I bet your guests will be talking about how awesome it was for a long time! Plus I think since there are so many “gourmet” toppings, it fancies it up quite a bit.  And it’ll feel like being like a wedding no matter what, because it is a wedding…  🙂

I tend to imagine this more for a daytime than evening wedding, when people might be dressed slightly more casually. That being said, I would eat the shit out of some gourmet burgers and be excited to do so.

I don’t think it’s tacky at all. We’re actually thinking of burgers being an option at our wedding too.
