My wedding was SUPPOSE to be at a beautifal lakeside campground this saturday. Because of the shutdown, my location , ran by the army corps of engineers, was shut down the tuesday before my wedding. After a panic attack I began searching for a location. My future Father-In-Law booked his union hall for us, which I am very grateful for, but now I need to find a way to make it look pretty! Also, I have to let all my guest know, and of course hardly anybody RSVP’d!
I am SOOOOOO ready for my nice, quiet, relaxing honeymoon in the mountains.
Anybody else in the same boat?? This is INSANE!

@MrsMeade: OMG that’s terrible!! I’m sorry you’re dealing with this but just try to keep positive! Thank goodness you have another location, use family and friends to spread the word about it.

I can relate. My first venue was a beautiful park I frequented in high school. About a month before our wedding date, they bulldozed the entire area we rented — They didn’t give us the deposit back, either!
