Your age/partner’s age: 34/34

Estimated Due Date: January 10 – I’m 18 weeks today!

Baby #: 2

# of cycles TTC: ummmmmm 15 or so?

Did you try anything new the cycle you got your BFP? It was our second round of IVF – frozen transfer

What are you most excited for with this pregnancy? Our gender reveal! Our ultrasound is next week but our reveal is a week later. Can’t wait!

What are you most worried about with this pregnancy? I was really worried about losing the baby because I didn’t want to have to go through IVF again but now that I’m feeling movement, I feel much better!

Did you/are you finding out the sex? Or are you Team Green? Can’t wait to find out if our son is going to have a brother or sister!

What advice do you have for current POASers? Do lots of fun things while you’re in the process – travel, drink wine and eat everything you can’t while you’re knocked up!

I was only on the August board so hopefully it’s okay for me to reply here.

Your age/partner’s age: 30/30 (I’ll be 31 when the baby is born, husband will still be 30)

Estimated Due Date: April 20th

Baby #: 1

# of cycles TTC: 2 (May & July/August, missed out on June due to a vaccine)

Did you try anything new the cycle you got your BFP? Timing out sex better. We tried the shettles method for a girl for our first cycle, which led to us only having sex on 0-3 and 0-5. Once we got a BFN we were like “We want a baby, 3-5 days before O is kind of a gamble and it might take us much longer. Is it really worth it if all we want is a healthy baby?” so come July, we hit 0-3, 0-2, 0-1 and 0+1 and that worked much better.
I also took maca root from cd3-10 to kickstart O because the previous cycle I ovulated on cd28 and I didn’t want to wait that long. It also helped with my CF. Mission accomplished! Peak day & +opk was cd15 and shift was cd17 so I would put money on ovulating cd16.

What are you most excited for with this pregnancy? I’ve always wanted to be pregnant… except now that it’s here, I’m kind of terrified. I’m also really hopeful our dog gets all cuddly and snuggly (he’s more of a cat and is super independent) and that he and the baby grow to be best friends.

What are you most worried about with this pregnancy? Barring a loss, I’m worried about morning sickness. I HATE being sick, and I feel so in control of my body that I feel like my body will betray me in pregnancy.

Did you/are you finding out the sex? Or are you Team Green? We’ll find out. My husband really wants to know and I’m super impatient.

What advice do you have for current POASers? I wasn’t ttc long at all, so I’m not in much of a place to offer advice, but for me, I looked at every cycle like a clean slate to take care of myself and to build the best home possible for my little one. Every egg is different, and every sperm is different, so if they didn’t meet, then that wasn’t the baby I was supposed to have, despite wanting it so much.

SeaOfLove : thanks for starting this!

Your age/partner’s age: 28/29

Estimated Due Date: Feb. 26th

Baby #: 1

# of cycles TTC: 5, 1 CP

Did you try anything new the cycle you got your BFP? Yes, I did acupunture

What are you most excited for with this pregnancy? I can’t wait to find out the gender, starting feeling baby move, and having an actual bump and not just looking like I had too many donuts

What are you most worried about with this pregnancy? I was most worried early on about having another CP but that started to subside after seeing the baby’s heartbeating.

Did you/are you finding out the sex? Or are you Team Green? As soon as I’m able

What advice do you have for current POASers? When you get pregnant you will be SO tired, while symptons range from morning sickness to mild discomfort almost everyone is hit with fatigue. It’s totally fine to go ahead and declutter the house or whatever else you think you’d do when you get pregnant. I haven’t been able to do anything I thought I’d be doing.

SeaOfLove : Thanks so much! I’m starting to not be so anxiety-ridden, but I won’t lie, I’m still super nervous and just can’t wait until I can feel baby moving in there and have daily reassurance (s)he is doing okay. Also–CONGRATS!! I definitely have followed your journey and I’m so happy for you. FX for a h&h 9 mo for you as well! <3

Your age/partner’s age: Both 24

Estimated Due Date: March 21st, 2018 based on LMP. That makes me 8 weeks today.

Baby #: 2

# of cycles TTC: 4 cycles, CP, then 3 more cycles until this BFP

Did you try anything new the cycle you got your BFP? We had sex at 5 days before ovulation, and then my husband went out of town. That gave us about a 10% chance of conception, so I was pretty much convinced that it wasn’t going to happen. So I was actually pretty chill during the TWW and my symptom-spotting was minimal. It was nice. I also happened to have a pineapple in the fridge right around that time, so I ate the core from 1-5 days after ovulation. It was disgusting, but maybe it helped?? (Or maybe I’m just an idiot who ate pineapple core)

What are you most excited for with this pregnancy? Last time I was a 20 year old university student, unmarried and underemployed. My family made sure that I felt guilty and ashamed for this. This time around, I’m married, I have my bachelor’s, and we’re financially stable. I’m excited to go through this pregnancy without fear or guilt.

What are you most worried about with this pregnancy? I’m still scared that I’ll miscarry. This baby is so, so wanted

Did you/are you finding out the sex? Or are you Team Green? Finding out as soon as possible.

What advice do you have for current POASers? Try not to let it take over your life. Symptom spotting will drive you crazy. Take it one day at a time and don’t let it turn into a chore. And there are sooo many women going through the same stuff, both on these boards and on a bunch of other pregnancy/ttc sites. Reach out if you need!

Love this idea!

Your age/partner’s age: 30/31

Estimated Due Date: Feb 18th, 2018

Baby #: 1

# of cycles TTC: 10

Did you try anything new the cycle you got your BFP? I suspected I had a tilted uterus after a remark my GP made (“You’re flopped over a bit”) so I decided to lay on my tummy after BD. Also switched up my prenatal and BD 2X on O day.

What are you most excited for with this pregnancy? Feeling baby move and finding out the gender!

What are you most worried about with this pregnancy? The black cloud of MC followed me for most of this tri. It’s really hard to feel as excited as I should be, but every week it gets a little bit easier. I’m 12+4 today.

Did you/are you finding out the sex? Or are you Team Green? Finding out!

What advice do you have for current POASers? Give up symptom spotting, but never give up hope. The cycle I got my BFP I was the most sure I’d ever been that AF was on her way lol Real pg symptoms didn’t hit me until 6 wks exactly to the day.

YES! I don’t really want to join a Facebook group, so I’m sad that most mama’s leave after their BFP 🙁

Your age/partner’s age: 29/30

Estimated Due Date: 3/24/18

Baby #: 1

# of cycles TTC: 11 months – 8/9’ish cycles?

Did you try anything new the cycle you got your BFP? Quit all the TTC stuff I had been stressing over and enjoyed myself. When I saw the EWCM we BD ED for 3 days, but that was it.

What are you most excited for with this pregnancy? Our first scan. I really can’t think beyond that. Like most FTM, I’m also very cautious and nervous. One day at a time *breathes*

What are you most worried about with this pregnancy? Wouldn’t say worried – but a little pissed because yesterday we had our first appointment at 7.5 wks and they didn’t do an exam, heartbeat, scan, nothing… We literally just filled out a questionnaire, they took some blood and urine, and said see you in 3 wks. We won’t even see or hear baby for the first time until 10.5 wks! The wait is torturous, and I was really hoping to see baby since I’m feeling amazing, and needed the reassurance and to make it real. I’m in such a state of limbo.

Did you/are you finding out the sex? Or are you Team Green? I personally didn’t want to find out, but FH does. We’ll probably find out, and I’m okay with the idea now.

What advice do you have for current POASers? Take the time to get to know your cycle beforehand. If you’ve never charted, at least chart how long your cycles are. Note your normal PMS symptoms. There are sooo many variations of “normal” so you need to get to know your “normal”. I knew my cycles were nuts, and my symptoms were vast, but I didn’t pay close attention until TTC, and all of a sudden every day “late”, every twinge, I was peeing on sticks. Don’t do that. Understanding your cycle will help ease some of the anxiety.

TTC is stressful, so find your tribe. Surround yourself with understanding people – people who have been there or are currently there. You’re going to want to talk about it.

BUT, also, try and relax. I spent 10 months worrying my ass off about every little thing, and it was so emotionally draining. When I finally listed to my FH and let it go, BAM, pregnant. Coincidence? Who knows. But I will say that it made the experience more enjoyable.

MargaritaVille : You really should join us in the March mamas group, it’s great! (And unless you add people as friends, the group and your personal stuff stays pretty separate). That said, I do get it.

Anyway, it’s so good to see so many familiar “faces”! 🙂

I’m very happy for all of you! I´ve rooting for most of you since forever lol

One question for all the ladies with BFP, how many of your total cycles trying you *think *you actually had a chance. For example, I´ve been trying for 6 cycles but I know for sure that because of a business trip we didn’t had a chance in 2 cycles so my answer would be 4 cycles.

Thanks in advance for your responses.
