mrsatoz :   DrunkInLove :   MooseMeese11 :  SeaOfLove :   Mls1988 :  NicoleLyn1218 :  Thanks so much for all the good vibes, thoughts, and prayers ❤️ We learned that little guy had lost about 10% of his blood through feto-maternal hemorrhage, so it was somehow coming back to me instead of staying with him. They had to do a blood transfusion and are keeping him heavily sedated to monitor brain function and hope he doesn’t have any lasting damage. The good news is his reflexes look better so the dr is not worried that any brain trauma will be severe. We can’t hold him yet, but they plan to take him off sedation on Thursday and do an MRI on Friday so we will hopefully be able to hold him then. Such a scary process, but I’m so thankful that the whole medical team acted so fast and got him out of me within an hour and a half of us arriving at the hospital. Since he was losing so much blood, even a few more minutes might have had a dramatically different outcome. He’s still having breathing issues and some drops in his heart rate, but is stable and improving so we are trying to get a bit of rest tonight. Will keep updating as we learn more.

MsPlucky :  It really is crazy how they decided to stay almost exactly 3 weeks apart despite yours coming early. I’m very glad he made it to term too, especially since he’s still having breathing problems that would likely have been worse if he was a preemie. Thank you so much for the encouragement since you’ve just been through this yourself. It helps a lot. I have to remember to hold on to the little improvements no matter how small and keep myself strong for him. I’ve tried pumping twice already and gotten nothing, but I’m keeping it up in the hopes I can at least get some colostrum (sp?) by tomorrow.

catmom17 :  You’re very strong, I’ve no doubt you’ll be strong through this too. But it is scary, so allow yourself to feel that too. Sounds like you have a great medical team that’s taking good care of your little guy and is on top of it. I remember all the feelings that you’re feeling quite vividly, but do try to get some rest and take each hour as it comes. Thank God you were able to stop him from coming early and got him to term – you’re amazing!

FWIW, I wasn’t able to get colostrum with the pump, manual or electric. I had to hand express it, and Darling Husband sucked it up with a syringe (the glamour of pregnancy continues!) as it was coming out. Took some effort but was definitely worth it! Keep trying. It’ll happen!

His breathing and heart rate stabilizing is huge! Great job little man! Remember, small victories.

SeaOfLove :   Mls1988 :  Thank you ladies! <3

I had my betas drawn yesterday– just waiting on the results today. My dr said I had no reason to worry or be concered and that she wasn’t worried. I tested positive with just a basic urine test, mid-day… but still, MY NERVES! I decided to stop POAS-ing…it was was just driving me crazy trying to find line progression every 12 hours.

catmom17 :  So glad to hear they have him stable and it really sounds like he’s getting great care.

Keep doing what you’re doing to be strong for him–but don’t forget to take care of yourself, even if that means a quick trip down to the hospital coffee shop for a hot tea and a cookie. Baby needs you happy and healthy!

Keep up updated, we’re definitely all sending out all the positive vibes for your new family.

fromatoz :  Ohhh can’t wait for those numbers! I think everything will be just fine but getting that reassurance is priceless. Let us know ASAP! I had to stop temping 2 weeks after my BFP, it was driving me nuts. No idea why I continued for even that long … the obsession is real lol.

Oh shizit. I just realized any day now I’ll have to start charting and temping again.

Yeah that’ll go great. My resting temp after 1.5 hour cat naps will be SOOOO HELPFUL!

MsPlucky :

Betas (round 1) came back just now: HCG at 21.7, go in tomorrow for draw #2. I guess that’s in line for being about 3weeks. I’m at 14DPO right now, I typically get AF today/maybe tomorrow if it pushes a little.

Progesterone came back at 9.8, which for 3weeks she said was fine, but needs to get up around 11 for the first trimester… so they’ll keep testing that, too.

fromatoz :  My first beta at 18 DPO was 107, so sounds like yours is right on track!

They never tested my progesterone, so I haven’t a clue what mine is, or was, or is again lol.

We got our NIPT results back this morning- everything is within normal and it’s a BOY! Chinese gender prediction said girl, my uneducated Ramzi guess was girl, and I had a dream last night we had a girl…all wrong! My husband has been 100% certain since day 1 that it would be a boy, so he really wasn’t surprised. I’m just beyond happy, and it almost makes it feel more real now.

catmom17 :  How are you and your little one doing Momma?

mrsatoz :  Very cool! Congratulations! Boys are awesome, but I’m biased. My little guy is 3 weeks old now!

MsPlucky :  Are you going to start charting (to avoid, I assume?) asap? I’d probably just use condoms or some other barrier method until you’re on a more regular routine–I can’t imagine it would be very effective with a newborn. But, what do I know? I haven’t looked in to it.

All I know is we don’t want our kids super close together so we’re going to have to do something in the interim. I might try an IUD again. But we’ll see.

AFM, 37+2 and OVER IT. We finished our last “prep” class last night, nursery is like 85% done, and we have all the “things” I think we’ll need at first. I am ready to get this baby out. It doesn’t help that baby is growing but my belly doesn’t seem to be (I’m measuring small) so it’s very uncomfortable. And I’ve started having dizzy spells. Cool. Can we just be done now?

Ok, I’m done complaining…

I haven’t updated in a while, but it’s so nice to read everyone else’s updates! I will be 39 weeks tomorrow, and SO ready to meet this baby boy. My pregnancy has been pretty textbook. I’m still doing accupunture which I credit with not having my hands or feet sweel and pretty much zero back pain. I started seeing my chiropractor at 37 weeks just to get my pelvic in the best position for bith. My midwife doesn’t think I’ll make it to my due date, but I’m starting to doubt that now. Strangly I am sleeping much better in the last two weeks than I did earlier in my 3rd trimester. I will post another update when baby boy makes his arrival!

fromatoz :  Congratulations! I’m so happy to see you on here. Hoping you have a quiet and easy nine months!

AFM, first ultrasound is today at (my estimate of) 7+0. Did I sleep last night? No. Am I being a productive human at the office right now? Absolutely not. I’m a ball of nervous energy, and I’m thinking of hitting a yoga class at lunch just to pass the time, because I swear the clock is mocking me with its eternal minutes.
