  • Wedding: June 2011 - Sydney, Australia

Age/Birthday: Mar 30/2013 – 7.5 months!

Boy or Girl and Name (if you’re comfortable sharing): Girl – Georgia

Work Situation or planned work situation: Stay-At-Home Mom

Greatest moment so far: Holding her for the first time.

Milestones: Teething, sitting unassisted, first word: (mumumumum!)

Most surprising thing/best thing about being a momma: The tiredness! And the fact that it feels like she has always been here. Totally meant to be. πŸ™‚

How’s everything else – work/home/hubby:

Love life & excited for round two… eventually. Hubby has been away loads, so single parenting has been hard work. Here’s my wee girl with her proud grandparents.

@BOGB:  There you are! SO happy you’re here!!!! How are you doing handling the MS? Take it from the girl who went to 15 weeks without taking anything for hers because she stubbornly didn’t want to take anything – if it gets so bad you think you might find relief taking something for it, don’t hesitate, because it makes life SO MUCH EASIER!!!
And ditto on being excited to meet him – I am SOOOOOO excited to! BUT – I’m REALLY going to miss being pregnant!

@lovemygsp:  Thanks hon – but don’t be jealous! We’ve had about 30-40cm of snow so far this month, and the last week the temps have been averaging around -25 to -30 celsius! It’s COLD! πŸ˜‰

@Lyndzo:  Don’t be – you have REALLY popped over the last couple of weeks. You look beautiful! And….I really have never seen a picture of you before where you look so happy. You’re glowing!

@MrsR4ever:  34 weeks 1 day today – crazy!!!! I wonder if he’ll have a ginger fro….? πŸ˜‰ Your bump pic is soo cute! You’re going to be one of those mamas who carries only in her belly, like StaceyA, I think!

@MrsPuddingface:  you are getting close my dear, how are you feeling?

AFM, I’m 36 weeks today. Unfortunately our stubborn babe is still breech, well actuallly in transverse lie, with no intention to move. My OB wants to discuss to try to flip him/her externally on Wednesday but DH and I are not very fond of the idea and will most likely decline. It just seems there has to be a reason why the baby isn’t in the right position. I’m pretty scared to use force for a less than a 50% chance to flip him/her. This means we are now heading towards a c-section and should have a baby in our arms in 3 weeks. eeeek!

Other than that all is well and I’m still very much enjoying my baby bump! I think I’ll miss that ball attached to my body … lol.

@elchalten:  3 weeks! holy cow! can you believe that? I’ve been saying this the entire time and it’s become a mantra for my pregnancy, but…..I cannot believe how fast this goes by! Hoping baby turns for you, in time to avoid a c-section! Can’t wait to see the little gaffer!!

@MrsPuddingface:  hey lady! How are you??? MS is kicking my butt pretty bad. We just had our last appointment with our RE and are now moving on to our OB so if I still feel this horrible, I will definitely bring it up with the OB to see what we can do.  Good to know that there are some things out there that might help.

@BOGB:  Sorry to hear about the MS being so bad! It can be really hard to concentrate on anything but the sickness when it’s that bad, and it’s almost impossible to really enjoy your pregnancy or even think much about it past leaning over the toilet multiple times a day. It’s my only regret through pregnancy – waiting so long to ask for something to take. My doctor had me on Diclectin, but I’m not sure if it’s available in the States or if it maybe has another name? It was a total lifesaver. My biggest issue was being able to stay hydrated, and it finally gave me some relief so I could drink what I really needed to. Are you anywhere close to needing maternity clothes yet? I started wearing maternity jeans at 6.5 weeks because my bloating was so bad and they are AMAZING! Like wearing socially acceptable pajamas out of the house! I bought 2 pairs of the low-rise under-belly band pants from OldNavy and they were awesome all the way until about 30 weeks, but now I’m getting so much bigger I love the full-panel belly pants because they don’t dig in at the bottom of my belly like my low-rise ones now do. So, little tip there…..get a couple of different styles when you buy pants because the fit and comfort will change as you grow πŸ˜‰ I can’t wait until I get to see baby BOGB’s little face on ultrasound!!! So excited! Have you done any announcements yet? Are you planning a big one for 12 weeks?

We’re doing really well over here. 35 weeks tomorrow – 35 days left to EDD! EEK! I’m currently organizing the nursery, doing baby laundry, putting things away. I have 2 weeks left of work before my leave starts, so I’m hoping to have everything done and ready by the time I leave, with maybe just stocking the freezer left on my to-do list! We had my shower on the 16th and were totally and completely spoiled. One perk of people thinking we’re team green – we only got 2 outfits out of a giant pile of useful practical items!!!! YAY! It was a really fun day.

@BOGB:  sorry MS is hitting you badly.  I can relate to that horrible feeling.  I waited too long to ask for medicine.  I guess I thought I could be stronger but after pretty much 8 weeks of misery, I finally got Zofran from my OB. The best miracle pill!!!  Congratulations on graduating from your RE.  Doesnt it feel good? I swear we need diplomas when we are done lol

Hi:

Don’t have much time on hand but wanted to jump in and let you know that our baby was born on Nov 24th. It is a girl!!!

She had her own plans and was born 4 weeks early at 36 weeks. She didn’t turn and was still breech but because I went from the time when my water broke until she was born in less than 2 hours (contractions didn’t even start until 1 hour before giving birth) there was no time for a c section at all. Despite her positioning I ended up with an unmeddicated vaginal birth. In the OR… πŸ™‚

She had to stay in the NICU for observation and weight gain for 9 days but came home 2 days ago. She is doing great and is a champ breastfeeder. My labour and recovery has been amazing.

tiny peanut’s stats are: 4 pound 11 oz and 18 1/2 inches. DH and I agreed not to share her pictures on the internet. Hope you guys understand.
