My FH will be graduating with his engineering degree on December 14th, and I am graduating with my accounting masters degree on December 15th. We will sign our marriage license on our 6 year anniversary (and the day we will continue to celebrate as our anniversary) on December 16th. Then we are having our wedding on December 21st. I am lucky that accounting jobs start the first week in January for the most part, so we will have the first couple weeks of our marriage to just enjoy being married and go on our honeymoon!

I just graduated on the 5th of May and will be getting married on the 23rd of June, I was hoping to leave just enough time between the two of them. However, I’ll also be studying and taking the LSAT during that time. But hey, I have a degree! :):):)

I seriously would not recommend planning a wedding while in college. Wedding planning is extremely distracting.   I wish I would have waited till I had a full time job for at least a year. Just had to say that.

@Jamie42003:  It all depends on the person. For me, it’s super easy. I’m simple.

graduating on saturday with my MA and getting married in August.

I have more grad school lined up in the Fall, so I’m excited to just have the summer off to plan.  I’m not working in June or July because we’ll be traveling and doing so much– luckily I’ve been saving so I can afford the 2 months off.

Yeah I decided not to walk in May.  I’m getting married in July and technically finishing school in June (as well as moving) so there’s just too much going on.

I’m lucky that neither the FH or I have student loans and he has a good job that pays well, but I am kind of worried about the job search as well.  Monetarily we’ll be fine if it takes me awhile to find something, but I will drive us both insane if I have nothing to do.

TankIsCute: yeah, that’s weird. I’m sorry! At least it won’t be as long as a full semester. 🙂

@Merlisea:  Yes!! I graduate in May 2013 and our plans are to marry September 2013, so it kind of makes me a nervous wreck trying to figure out how I’m going to fit all of that crap together in one year!! GAHH!!

Our wedding is in March and i’ll be graduating in April (though I will have finished classes the previous November). I haven’t found planning too distracting because we have already been engaged for a year, and up until now, I just try and handle big blocks of things in my break, or when I don’t have many assignments due.

I am! I finish nursing school less than a month before we get married, and our pinning ceremony is a week before we get married. I will probably wait to take my boards until after tue wedding, and then it will be hopefully finding a job when we get back from our honeymoon.

Good luck to everyone!!

I am thinking of going this route too. My fiance is in the Navy and I am currently a senior in college. I will be graduating next May and I want to get married immediately after. We have been in a long distance relationship for a year since he joined. It won’t be possible for me to live with him unless we get married. At first I planned to work full time for a year before our wedding so we could save up, but my perspectives have changed. I don’t want to hold off our marriage because of wedding expectations not being met. We are just going to have to make it small rather than extravagant.
