a nice watch? an engraved flask or beer mug? does he have an ipod or camera or something he’d like to upgrade?

@6598731ssfse3:  What did he study? You could always do a fancy pen or desk clock, but I think something specific to his studies would be more thoughtful.

@6598731ssfse3:  My huband just got a new job and I did the following:

8 cupcakes that spelled out C O N G R A T S

A bottle of champagne, served in the toasting flutes from our wedding

A bag of Lindt chocolate truffles (YUM)

A bottle of Appleton rum (a la our Jamaican honeymoon) to mix with Ginger Ale

And finally, good sex!

Obviously this is personal to us, but you can think of ways to incorporate things that are personal to you/your relationship.  I know my husband really loved this.

If you want gift ideas… a “Congrats Grad” Christmas ornament or a frame for his diploma.  Or good sex!  Wait, did I mention that already?

My suggestions:

  • a watch
  • a pocket watch
  • a pimp diploma frame
  • quality business cards and a personalized holder

I was also going to suggest a really nice frame for his diploma.  That’s what I got Darling Husband when he graduated from grad school.

DH’s parents bought him a really nice pair of cuff links.  He thought he’d never use them but he actually has!

I’m getting J these when he graduates next year in Aerospace Engineering. However, I’m almost positive that he won’t even think to get me anything when I graduate next semester. Gifts are not our love languages. 🙂 But jewelry is my obsession so I’ve been eyeing these for 2 years with his graduation in mind.
