I went for my honeymoon and loved it!

We stayed in the platinum suites, which was great… the only downside was it was two double beds. They did push them together for us, but we all know that’s not the same. The upside to platinum is our private concierge guy booked us an a la carte restaurant for the night we arrived and was able to book for the whole week at once. Everyone else we met had to book daily and they were often all booked by the time they tried. Platinum also has jacuzzi’s on the balcony, a private pool, and a private beach. The private beach was awesome because the sleezy sales guys are not allowed on that portion of the beach. We also liked having private time, but when we wanted to party we would head down to the “party pool” and drink with others our age and have a good time!

The food at the buffets was good but not great, but I don’t expect much from the buffet… I had guac, chips and salsa at every meal because it was so good! Mexican’s do Mexican well 😉 The a la cartes were FABULOUS!!!!!!

You are also close to many attractions, we went to Coba, Xel-ha, and coco bongos! We also went into playa one day just to shop and eat!!!!

My DH and I have said ever since that we would go back in a heartbeat.
