I didn’t see any pictures, but I think it would be great! It sounds like it fits your theme perfectly. I love vintage clothing. You could put her wedding picture right beside it. πŸ™‚

I don’t see pictures, either, but I think it would be cool! People display wedding gowns in their homes sometimes, so I don’t see why this would be weird! πŸ™‚

I can’t see photos, either, but I think it sounds like a sweet idea and it should blend well with your theme and location. Please post photos soon, I love vintage anything πŸ™‚

I think it’s a great idea to display her dress! How creative. If it were me though, I would not use a maniquinn and hang it up on a fancy hanger instead. Or maybe in some sort of glass memory box? There’s just something about a maniquinn that might look out of place.

Or maybe instead of a mannequin use one of those antique seamstress thingies…The bust things that you use in place of a model. You know? I didn’t realize before you said mannequin, and it may look a bit strange.

@Kateski: Very gorgeous setting, and yeah, that seamstress setup is nice to display the dress (rather than a mannequin with a head). The dress sounds so pretty, I hope your Fiance comes around to really like the idea.

I think it sounds like a great idea.  Do you have any pictures of your grandmother’s dress?

@Kateski:Oh good! πŸ˜› I think that’s what I pictured in my head when I read mannequin the first time, but then I read @Kateski‘s post. πŸ™‚
