So this week just has not been good and it’s only Tuesday. My Grammy (which is my only grandparent left) is having heart surgery because her heart has been going into to A fib for the past 3 months. She is to the point where she’s telling everyone to take what they want so when she’s gone there isn’t any arguments. Also, my husband’s Poppy (which he has all four of his grandparents still) has had issues since spring with his bladder and they thought it was prostate cancer which we got the call last night he has colon cancer and an E.coli virus. My husband is taking this extremely hard since he is so close with his Poppy. My husband spent every summer there growing up and was even babysat by them when he was little. I’m kind of a loss for words only because he has not lost anyone in the 11 years I have been with him and not sure how his emotions will play out with my comments. My husband is not a sensitive man and proceeds to hold everything in until he just can’t anymore. We have a 2 year old son that hope helps keep his mind of things and brings the brighter part of life out again. Both our grandparents are in surgery as we speak and from what we heard my husband’s Poppy does not want chemo he is 88 years old and was in perfect health until this. Please keep our family in your prayers.
Words of advice please.
