Gray or Yellow Dresses??

I think yellow dresses could be worn again, and you can always do a gray sash to bring your other color into the mix.  Here’s a link to all the light yellow dresses at David’s Bridal (some of which are only $99!)

Also, if you do gray dresses, you could do a yellow sash and bright yellow flowers for a pop, but they might end up being a little too matchy-matchy with the groomsmen.

Which color do you think would look best with your BMs’ skin tones?  Another idea if they don’t all look good in the same color is to alternate gray & yellow dresses.

My girls are wearing gray! They will have bright yellow bouquets. I decided on gray because they all have different skin tones, and yellow doesn’t look good on everyone. I think gray looks good on everyone. PLUS I really wanted the bouquets to be yellow, which make more sense with the gray dresses

I went to a wedding where the groom and his men were in gray tuxes and the ladies had yellow dresses on. It was quite lovely.

I would go with gray. It is more classic of a color that can be worn again. It’s hard to find yellow bm dresses that are flattering on all body types and skin tones.

Hey! I noticed you’re from Lancaster… You wouldn’t happen to be getting married at Ironstone Ranch, would you?? I’m getting married there in September and was thinking about gray and yellow for colors as well!! Too funny! Can’t wait to hear more about your wedding!! For June I think would go with yellow dresses. Mustardy yellow is my favorite–so pretty!!

My colors were also yellow and grey. We did silver dresses with charcoal tuxes; I thought it looked really nice and we got quite a lot of compliments on the attire. My MoH was out of state so it was important that she be able to choose a dress out there without worrying about everything being matchy-matchy.

I am also doing gray dresses, but with purple flowers!  I think there is just so much more you can do with a gray dress than yellow (or purple in my case!) with mix and match flowers and shoes and even jewelery.

Have you askde your girls for their opinions?  Originially I was going to go for purple until my Maid/Matron of Honor steered me towards a better direction:)

I had gray and yellow as my wedding colors. I had the same dilemma, gray vs yellow dresses. Ultimately I went with yellow because I thought it suited my beach wedding better. I loved the way it turned out. I’ve seen lots of pictures either way though and they both look great. Here’s my pic for inspiration:

I think gray dresses are easier to match flowers  to (if your trying to stick to only yellow and gray).  If you have yellow dresses and yellow flowers they might get lost in the photos.
