I can’t help but share this great deal I just got with everyone! I’d been eyeing up some Mikasa china that I really wanted. However, it was $150/placesetting in the department stores here in Vancouver. I looked online, and found that it was $70 in the US, which was a lot better, but still expensive. Here is the pattern:
My grandparents were super sweet, and told me that they wanted to get it for my Fiance and I for our wedding. Since I’m a pretty good online shopper, they told me just to buy any if I saw it for a good deal. I’ve been watching all the online stores, ebay, etc, and the best I seemed to be able to find was 20% off.
ANYWAYS – yesterday I visited the mikasa website, and saw that they were running a special promotion – buy 1 placesetting, get 1 free. They have this on a ton of different patterns right now. So, instead of being $70, it was $35 per placesetting. Orders over $150 also have free shipping. I then decided to try pushing my luck a tad, and entered the coupon code “Welcomeback20”, and got an additional 20% of my entire order, including the discounted placesettings!
I ended up paying $28/placesetting, with no tax and free shipping. I also picked up some toasting flutes for the wedding (also buy 1, get 1, plus 20% off) and some matching mugs to the placesettings (20% off). Sure beats $150 + tax per placesetting (or even $70 per placesetting).
Just though I’d share in case anyone else is looking for a deal!
