West coast of Florida, Napa Valley, the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fall… There are so many beautiful places! What do you like to do?

Charleston SC! they have a beautiful gazebo right right on the battery (its waterfront!) It’s a public park so it’s proably free…you would just have to find an officiant in the area. Plus is a beautiful city with lots to do if you stay for a few days.

@misschickpea:   Newport, RI has gorgeous B&Bs! I have stayed in a few and you can not go wrong. Its home to the famous Mansions and on the water. Truly Gorgeous. Cobblestone streets and lots of history. Very “Old New England” feel.

Vermont also, if you are interested in skiiing. You may even be able to do a mountain top ceremony!

@MrsLongcoatPeacoat:  I second Blue Ridge mountains in the fall.  We eloped to Asheville this past October and got married off the blue ridge parkway.  It was so beautiful.  Asheville is awesome too.

We’re planning to elope to NYC – I’m in Montreal and he’s in NC so it’s a good in-between and we’ve been meaning to go for awhile.

In terms of places with a nice view and outdoors, I know a few couples who married in the Blue Ridge mountains and their photos were beautiful.

@misschickpea:  If you like skiing, you should check out Steamboat Springs, CO – Ski town USA. It’s got a lower key vibe than some of the glitzier towns out west, there are beautiful water falls and hot springs, and obviously – baller skiing.

@totheislnds:  I agree with Charleston. Obviously I’m partial as thats where I got married 🙂

We looked into having the wedding at the Gazebo but there are som hardcore requirements, it’s not free (you need a permit for everything), but it would be great for a tiny ceremony. I think the max number of people you can have there is like 18.

My favorite B&B EVER was the Summit House Inn Bed and Breakfast in Colorado Springs (my tripadvisor name is redwhine21224, and my review is from Aug. 1, 2010). Not sure of the ceremony options in the area, but that B&B was the best, and you get your mountains!

I also like Charleston and New Orleans as destinations (we were considering eloping to Nola)
