@Cash000: We’re planning a trip to Florblanca resort just outside of Santa Teresa, Costa Rica for December. They do weddings, etc there. I can hardly wait! We also loved our trip to Belize for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Royal Belize which is a private island and was GORGEOUS.

If I were going to do it in Canada, my first choice would likely be Tofino or one of the gulf islands. Second choice would be somewhere in Newfoundland. It’s really underrated and definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Gros Morne National Park is insanely stunning. I can’t even begin to explain how much we loved it there.

@Cash000: Royal Belize isn’t cheap, but they love newlyweds, so you can likely get them to lower the rate for you a bit 😉  I would definitely go back again. The food was incredible and it was VERY low key. It’s not for people who need high stimulus, excursions, etc though. It’s a lounge in a hammock, read a book, play in the ocean type vacation.

We eloped in Sonoma!  We hired an event coordinator to put everything together for us and we had a fantastic ‘wedding’ for just the two of us!  Message me if you’d like to see pictures!

I’ve always thought the Keys or Hawaii would be pretty for an elopement. Otherwise what about New Zealand or Australia?

we eloped to new orleans. SUCH a romantic city, and we had the best time partying it up after. We also had a coordinator & our pkg was $700 I think. The whole day was perfect, intimate and so special. Totally recommend it!

@Cash000: We went last September but we booked about 10 months out from our Honeymoon I think? They were doing some construction on the honeymoon villa when we booked, so I think they had lowered the prices to entice people. It was mostly done by the time we got there (we stayed in La Cabana though), but there weren’t any construction workers or anything running around on the island. I think we just managed to book at exactly the right time somehow. We also paid for the flights using Airmiles which really helped. We did 10 nights and I think it was around $6k? Maybe less? I can’t remember exactly. But looking at their site now, if I booked 10 nights in La Cabana it would be over $25k. Let me tell you we did NOT spend that much!!!

@Cash000: LOL!!!! Omg we’re not broke but there’s no way in heck I’d spend $25k on that HM! Maybe a month in Bora Bora, but that’s a different story and a lottery win away! LOL!

ETA – Have you looked at websites like Jetsetter.com or Sniqueaway.com? They have TONS of gorgeous places that come up (particularly jetsetter). PM me if you want me to send you an invite.
