@alotlikelove:  I’m sure those people will appreciate you bringing this to their attention. Probably about as much as the people who spell aisle, isle. Face it. they don’t know or don’t care, or both. Trying to correct spelling and grammar online is a losing cause.

Chances are, this post is going to predominantly attract the attention of those who know how to spell the word and are drawn by the typo 😛

@julies1949:  I’m sure that those people will be “grateful”. 😉

Yep I clicked because of the typo!

I also hate when people use “no” instead of “know”… is there really an excuse for this?

Your title caught my attention… because of the spelling!

There is a Target Greatland by me, and for years the directional sign on the highway said “Target Grateland”

Yes! Target, for all my grater needs!

They took the sign down before I could act on my impulses to *ahem* steal it. Haha!

I know!

However, it really should be ‘greatful’ because to be grateful is to feel great about something???? Lol.. I always write it out as it is spelt ‘grateful’ and think about grated carrots or grated cheese, so I don’t forget >.>

This mistake is quite common. I know, I’m a teacher. Don’t lose sleep over it!

@alotlikelove:  I’ m a teacher and the best ( or worst) part of your story is the fact that students argue with the teacher.  I teach chemistry and often other sciences and students try to argue with me all the time.  The only thing they will believe is looking something up on the (always accurate LOL) internet.

An issue I have when writing online is the autocorrect feature on IPads and many phones. Paiin the neck! I often don’t catch the correction” and then feel very silly.
